Who is Dora Curry?

In her current role as Director, Program Implementation in Task Force for Global Health’s Covid-19 Vaccine Implementation Program, Dora Curry leads project implementation for the CoVIP’s technical assistance to health systems in their Covid-19 vaccination implementation.

Over her career of more than 20 years in global public health, she has focused on immunization, community-based surveillance, and public health emergency response and preparedness. She has worked in rural and peri-urban areas, migrant, conflict-affected, and tribal populations, and fragile states in Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa, and Asia, as well as in the United States with rural, tribal, and migrant populations.

Her cross-cutting areas of expertise include:
1) health system design to improve accountability and enhance the agency and capacities of frontline health workers and community partners, 2) facilitating data use for learning and improvement, and 3) integrated, holistic, client-centered service delivery models.

She holds a Master of Public Health from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health and a Doctor of Public Health from the University of Georgia.
