Who is Cara Tupps?

Cara works in the Center for Vaccine Equity at the Task Force for Global Health, where she is responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of respiratory virus prevention programs. She has always had a keen interest in evaluating public health programs and policies through the lens of equity, both at the global and local level.

In her previous role at the Task Force she worked on Neglected Tropical Disease surveillance and developing evidence-based recommendations for policy makers. Prior to that she served in many humanitarian crisis response operations, including natural disasters and complex emergencies. During that time she gained valuable experience in conducting needs assessments, developing both short and long-term solutions for recovery, resilience-building, and preparedness planning, and using monitoring and evaluation data to improve programs in real time.

Cara holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Auburn University and a Master of Science in Public Health for Development from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate degree in Public Health from Georgia State University.
