Global Health Solutions, Inc. (“GHS”) is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation. Formed in 2005, GHS is organized under the laws of the State of Georgia and is operated exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes in support of The Task Force for Global Health, a publicly supported charity and a recognized tax-exempt, 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation.
GHS is a subsidiary of The Task Force, and its principal transactions involve donated pharmaceuticals in support of Task Force international programs focused on neglected tropical diseases. The Task Force programs supported by GHS (and their areas of emphasis) include the Mectizan Donation Program (fighting river blindness), Children Without Worms (controlling the infection of worms in children), the Neglected Tropical Diseases Support Center (elimination of elephantiasis and other neglected tropical diseases) and the International Trachoma Initiative (elimination of trachoma—the leading cause of infectious blindness in the world).
