On May 21, 2012, The World Affairs Council of Atlanta, CARE USA, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) held a major conference on how the United States, even in the midst of fiscal austerity and political division, can best advance the world’s health. We also unveiled a powerful video featuring almost 20 diverse senior leaders speaking to why Atlanta is such a center of excellence on matters of global health and water, as well as the remarkable health achievements the United States has championed in the last decade, the outstanding challenges before us, and the way ahead. The Task Force was proud to be a cooperating organization for this event.
