Heather Brooks is the HR Manager for the Task Force. In this role, she provides counsel and support to leadership and staff on all aspects of human resource management for the organization. Ms. Brooks has a breadth of global HR management experience in both non-profit and for-profits sectors having lived and worked in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and the Americas. Her HR management experience spans areas such as staff and organizational development, recruitment and selection, employee relations, and training. Prior to joining the Task Force, Ms. Brooks was a Senior HR Advisor for Global Staff and Organizational Development at CARE where she worked for about 10 years holding advancing positions such as HR Generalist, HR Manager, and Senior HR Advisor. She also represented the organization for various high-visibility assignments. Her prior work experience includes working for human resources recruiting firms focused on executive placements.
Ms. Brooks received her Bachelor's degree in Business and Management from the University of Maryland (European Division) and a Master's degree in HR Management from the University of Maryland University College.
