Ms. Fowler joined the Task Force in 1997 and serves in the capacity of Associate Director of Conference Services. She provides expertise behind the scenes in planning, organizing, and assuring the smooth operation and support of numerous conferences and meetings. Ms. Fowler's abilities have been recognized by The Carter Center and The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Ms. Fowler has arranged and supported The National Immunization Conference, GlaxoSmithKline Child Health Recognition Awards, National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities Conference, World Rabies Day, Institute for Quality Laboratory Medicine Conference, and a host of others.
Ms. Fowler is active in community service organizations including the Dekalb County Juvenile Court System where she serves as Case Monitor. She is also a doula (Tradional Birthing Attendant) and has coached and assisted 32 mothers during the prenatal, delivery, and postpartum stages of childbirth. Ms. Fowler has 3 children of her own and 6 grandchildren.
