In Loving Memory of Justin A. Micalizzi
5/31/89-1/16/01

In loving memory of Justin A. Micalizzi who died at the age of 11 following an incision and drainage of a septic ankle. Learning from the devastating loss and making a difference that will improve pediatric healthcare and the current system of responding to adverse events, is Justin’s families quest.

I am extremely proud to announce the Justin Micalizzi Memorial IHI Scholarship. Justin's HOPE project will contribute $5000 per year (funds permitting) to assist health caregivers, who have committed to serve the underprivileged and under-served vulnerable pediatric populations globally, in reaping the benefits of attending the Institute for Healthcare Improvements (http://www.ihi.org/IHI/) annual forum on Quality Improvement in Health Care. More details will soon be posted on the IHI National Forum enrollment site. IHI will match the scholarship amount this year making a $10,000 award available to individuals or organizations in financial need of attending. I will assist IHI staff in designating the beneficiaries following the review of applications. Corporate, individual or honorarium contributions to Justin's HOPE are greatly appreciated in order for us to continue this worthwhile cause.

You may donate online by Visa or Mastercard by clicking here. You may also donate any amount to Justin’s HOPE by completing a printed version of the form (click here to get the form). Mail your completed form, along with your check made payable to The Task Force for Global Health to:
