One of the greatest risks to prostituted women, including prostituted mothers, is violence, often ending in murder. No mother should be prostituted and we need to help those who prostituted and their children to find safety.

  • World's oldest profession, too, feels crisis (December 8, 2008). This article discusses the impact of prostitution on mothers and children as an afterthought. Near the end it states that an orphanage had to open for "unwanted babies of prostitutes." These babies are not unwanted nor are they "babies of prostitutes": they are just babies; babies born to exploited mothers. Help us to help them.
