The mission of the Task Force is to help public and private organizations promote health and human development by
* building coalitions
* forging consensus
* leveraging scarce resources

The Task Force takes great pride in its efficient operation and financial accountability. We strive to make the best possible use of every dollar we receive from our donors and partners. For example, in fiscal year 2006-07, more than 91 cents of every dollar spent was used to support Task Force projects and programs. This is among the highest of all philanthropic organizations and demonstrates our financial commitment to our mission to improve public health outcomes around the world. Furthermore, less than 9 cents of every dollar spent was used for administration and fundraising.

In 2007, the Task Force launched the first-ever capital campaign in its 25-year history – a three-year $1.52 million campaign for building renovations. The ongoing campaign will pay for the renovations of the Decatur building we purchased in Fall 2007. We needed this space to house the growing number of programs and emerging projects of the Task Force. To date, we have raised over $750,000 toward our goal. We invite you to join us in completing the campaign and reaching this important milestone in the Task Force history.
