Real Collaboration...The book is available!

The Task Force is proud to announce the publication of the book, Real Collaboration: What it Takes for Global Health to Succeed, authored by Task Force President and CEO Mark Rosenberg and colleague Elisabeth Hayes, with Margaret McIntyre and Nancy Neill. With a preface by Task Force founder Bill Foege and input from experienced collaborations, the book provides a practical handbook to guide the stages of collaboration. Real Collaboration draws from case studies of teams struggling to combat global health challenges and threats, and it is based on interviews the authors conducted with key figures involved in collaborations. The book comes with a bonus DVD that provides a collaboration toolkit and mini-film features. Components of the toolkit can be downloaded directly from the Collaboration in Global Health website. Click here to go to the Task Force's Collaboration site.
The book was published by the University of California Press and is distributed through the UC Press website. Reaching Out to Haiti...
Like many of you, we have been watching the news of the devastating earthquake on the island of Haiti. The loss of infrastructure is incredible. There is a clear need for support from our colleagues who traditionally serve this region. The staff of the Task Force extends our concern to the people of Haiti, and to our many partner organizations that work in this area. We have been in touch with our partners in the Region, to offer our support. While we do not serve this area specifically, we hope that you will consider a donation to those organizations that work to provide much-needed services to the Haitian community. Many of these organizations have offices in Haiti and have also been stricken by this catastrophe. The Task Force staff will direct funds to the organization Partners in Health, a longtime partner of the Task Force active in the region.
Building upon our History...
This has been a busy 25th anniversary year. Last March we changed our name and brought together many partners and friends to recognize and thank our founders and the many donors who contributed to the Task Force Capital Campaign.
To this end, The Task Force for Global Health encompasses a strong network of programs focused on both international and domestic health and human development. Our programs include work in the areas of disease eradication and control, child well being, global health collaboration, and public health informatics.
